Gaza & Israel: I’m writing to ask you as a singular citizen to intercede on behalf of the citizens of Gaza who are currently being placed under siege by Israel due to the failure of international law to hold true and for upto now, those of you in power, have not executed fully the justice that must happen in the name of peace and a sustainable geopolitical community.
I will begin here with the spin snippets we always hear in the politically controlled press worldwide:
"Israel has the right to protect 'herself'".
My comment on this is: Why are they saying Israel is feminine (indeed Israel has been typically male/ the aggressor, occupier, and oppressor since 1967) and as if the people of Palestine should have less of a right to protect their sovereignty as a people. Palestine was a nation long before Israel so why is it that Palestine isn't recognized as a "real" nation? Is this so other powers can continue with their political smoke and mirrors reasoning to continue oppression, occupation and extermination of this people in a land that Zionist wish to occupy fully? Make no mistake Zionism is racism and what is being done to the people of Palestine/Gaza/West Bank is a form of apartheid…do your history research those of you who are charged to carry out justice!
“Israel pulled out in 2005 but all they got where rockets from Hamas in return.”
This is not true Israel took its tanks out and quit building Zionist settlements on Gazan lands but it did not take down the checkpoints nor did it recognize Palestine as a sovereign state that would be allowed to come and go or revitalize its own economical situations. This was not a peaceful pullout indeed this was the beginning of a new strategy to starve out the people in the jail that they have a perimeter on and control the flow of goods,
services, and resources to.
“Israel dropped leaflets saying leave your houses and goto safety and turn in anyone who is a Hamas terrorist”.
As if the Palestinians have somewhere to go when there are Israeli checkpoints to the north, a "security wall" to the east and Egyptian checkpoints to the south and to the west blockades by the sea. Even now they are saying that the people of Palestine are free to get a flow of resources when the checkpoints in Egypt are being used as a pawn by a recent previous agreement between Israel and Egypt.
“Israel needed to do this now because Hamas continues to send rockets into Israel even after the 2005 cease-fire.”
Not true the rockets from Hamas have been happening for months due to the fact that Israel has been starving the Palestinians through the use of their new tactic (not allowing the needs of Palestinians to be met—not too mention they don’t have their own “state” nor were there economic incentives and there is a ban on Palestinians working in Israel.) Also, due to the fact that Israel felt they needed to do this before Bush left office because they do not know Obama’s mind completely on what he would do (at this point none of us know Obama’s mind on this yet). Perhaps, AIPAC wasn’t so sure of Obama? Indeed, I encourage you all to revisit the influence of AIPAC lobby on U.S. foreign policy!
Please take some time to speak to your family, your friends, co-workers and others who need to hear the truth about what the Zionist in Israel are doing to the people of Gaza/Palestine. I believe in the Jewish people as a nation and I believe in the Palestinians as a people as well…afterall we all have the light of spirit in our eyes as one human family.
I think it is time for the powers that be to believe in them as well and let the human spirit free. Time to quit using this land as a political pawn in the religious and geopolitical strategy narratives in the quests for power…Let these nations be free!
There is a solution and it has to be a political one where both peoples / nations have their own sovereign territories. They must agree to live side by side ...personally I believe in a one state solution (I believe these peoples are truly married to one another on a level that many of us will never be able to comprehend and it is a shame that a wedge has been staked between them) but I know most think at this point a two state solution is the only answer.
That being said in the interest of peace, justice and a chance to grow here is what I ask of you who have access to the ears and levers of power:
1. An immediate cease-fire on both sides
2. Israel & Egypt must open and leave open their checkpoints so that goods, services and resources can enter Palestine/Gaza/West Bank. They may have regulated borders but must allow travel of lawful citizens with visas.
3. Palestine/Gaza/West Bank is given full sovereignty as a recognized nation state and elections are honored in the world community.
4. Palestine/Gaza/West Bank being a sovereign nation/state has full control of its water access and airspace and will be allowed to commission its own militia.
5. As a retribution for the aggression of Israel since 1967 Israel gives Palestine/Gaza/West Bank aid to be used for structural rebuilding of its infrastructure and communities.
6. If Israel continues to harass Palestine/Gaza/West Bank they will be boycotted by the U.S. and will no longer receive any monetary aide. Their actions will be weighed by the U.N. and dealt with by the world community.
7. If Palestine/Gaza/West Bank is found to support further aggression towards Israel they will also be refused economic aide from Israel and the U.S. Their actions will be weighed by the U.N. and dealt with by the world community.
8. Due to the fact that no monetary aid will be offered by the U.S. to either of these nation/states if they violate the agreement it must be noted that if acts or disturbances from one side or the other towards one or the other should occur they will both be deemed terrorism towards the other nation and will be susceptible to police action NOT a collective military action from one nation to another in the case the both sides are not obviously using their commissioned militias in such an act. These acts will be deemed as rogue terrorism and will be dealt with as such and all sovereignty will be respected.
It is sad that so many related peoples have been manipulated by political forces and social pressure to drive a wedge between them...even their religions at one time had a common thread of history between them.
So many rulers of other lands have used them both for their own game of power and now Israel is showing the behaviors of a previous oppression they endured...just like domestic violence it is transferred to the next generation... the cycle of humiliation, fear and bitterness must be transcended. Perhaps, if the Palestinians were freed from their apartheid then the perceived apparent curse on Israel will be broken once and for all.
What a sweet vineyard it could be if the peoples of Judah and Israel were once again united through their common humanity.

In hopes that you will have the courage to relate my meditations and solutions I say "godspeed" to you.
Respectfully,
